Jamii Active is an initiative that aims to provide evidence-based information and steer discussions on active living, urban environment and health.
I worked with the initiative in its logo design project.
Somewhere in their design brief it read, ‘We want a very simple, unique and informative logo (we would like the logo to display all or any combination of two of the following; cycling, walking, environment, sports)’.
And that’s what I did, in a professional and creative way as you may see.
The logo depicts a woman and a cyclist moving leftwards – that’s backwards, implying that they are moving to their past – their childhood ; the most ACTIVE stage in a human life – which is the mission of the initiative : Making ACTIVE Community (Jamii in Swahili).
